Is Pinodesk free to use?

Yes, Pinodesk can be used for free. We are committed to keeping Pinodesk free while developing the paid features to help your businesses succeed.

Is Pinodesk safe to use?

We can make sure your data is safe in the Pinodesk application. We do not use your data to sell to any party. We store your computer hardware information (not personal data) during activation to verify devices are permitted to use Pinodesk.

Can I use a barcode scanner with Pinodesk?

Sure! Pinodesk supports barcode scanners when storing products, purchases, and sales data. Connect the barcode scanner you have to your computer and scan the product barcode in the Barcode field (on the Add Product or Edit Product form) or in the product search field on the forms of Cashier, Add Sale, Edit Sale, Add Purchase, and Edit Purchase.

Can I use a cashier printer with Pinodesk?

Yes! As a Point of Sale application, Pinodesk certainly has the ability to print shopping receipts using a cashier printer. Pinodesk supports 58mm thermal printers. Install the cashier printer on your computer, enter the Configuration page in the Pinodesk application from Settings > Configuration menu, then in the Printer section, select the connected printer name to print shopping receipts. Press the Save button, and your printer is ready to be used when saving sales data via the Cashier form.

Where can I buy a barcode scanner and cashier printer?

Currently Pinodesk does not provide a cashier device package. You can buy a barcode scanner and a cashier printer at your favorite electronics store, computer store, or online store.
